The Administrator reported to the Board that he had researched <br />the 20 acre tract of land on Kings Highway, being used by the Vero <br />Beach Women's Club and that he did find a February 6, 1951 Resolution <br />setting the tract of land aside for the use of :the Club in their <br />Conservation Program. He reported that Doctor Lindsey had looked <br />the property over and fel-tit would serve the purposes of the <br />Indian River Riding Club. Mr. Jennings said that he would make <br />inquiries of both Clubs to ascertain if it would be agreeable for <br />both Clubs to use this twenty acre tract of land jointly. <br />A letter from Frank L. Zorc, dated January 8, 1968, requesting <br />water service by Consumer Water Company to an area he has purchased <br />was received and placed on file•in the office of the Clerk. <br />A letter was received from Julia Morris requesting action on <br />maintenance of 10th place. In as much as this. street has not been <br />accepted by the' County, the letter was referred to the Administrator <br />for reply. <br />A request by Thomas H Trent, Civil Defense Director,for the <br />appointment of Thomas Martin as Director of Emergency Resource <br />Control of Indian River County was granted by the Chairman of the <br />Board of County Commissioners. <br />The Administrator was given permission to widen and resurface <br />45th Street—in G.ifford, at an approximate cost of $12,000.00, from <br />U. S. ,CL to 43rd; while they are working in that area. <br />Application of the Sentinel Star Express Company for extension <br />of its Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity. No. 673 so <br />as to remove the weight restriction as to the transportation of <br />newspapers and newspaper supplements was read and no objections <br />were expressed by the Board. <br />The several bills and accounts against the County, having been <br />audited were examined and found to be correct, were approved and <br />warrants issued in settlement of same as follows: General Fund, Nos. <br />447 to 532 inclusive; Road and Bridge Fund, Nos. 532 to 580 <br />inclusive; Fine and Forfeiture Fund, Nos. 800 to 805 inclusive; <br />SAN 10 1960 <br />,.dot <br />
