A Motion was made by Commissioner Dritenbas, seconded by <br />Commissioner Macdonald and unanithously carried that the County's <br />former Insurance Carrier, Home Indemnity Company, through its <br />attorneys is advised that the County did not intend or believe <br />that it purchased the insurance policy in question to cover any <br />public liability for injury or property damage with respect to <br />public roads in the County and that the insurance carrier is <br />authorized to assert the County's governmental immunity in the <br />pending suit of Williams VS Indian River County provided only that <br />such governmental immunity shall not be asserted to the extent that <br />the insurer provided insurance in the mentioned policy. <br />Legislative Audit Report 6791 pertaining to the offices of the <br />Indian River County Tax Collector and the Assessor of Taxes for the <br />period between July 1, 1964 and May 31, 1967 was received and <br />placed on file in the office of the Clerk. <br />The monthly reports of the County Service Officer'and the <br />County Agricultural Agent were received and placed on file in the <br />office of the Clerk. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Dritenbas, seconded by <br />Commissioner Macdonald the State Witness Payroll of $130.00 for <br />the January term of County Court was unanimously. approved. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald and seconded by <br />Commissioner Dritenbas, Ralph Harris, Clerk, and one deputy were. <br />unanimously given permission to attend a Manpower Needs of Local <br />Government meeting to be held in Titusville on March 20, 1968. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner Dritenbas and unanimously carried Forrest McCullars <br />County Agricultural Agent was given approval for out of County. <br />travel to Fort Pierce on February 8 to attend the Chilean Nitrate <br />of Soda Company dinner. <br />FEB 7 1968 <br />BOOK 11.PAGE OO <br />
