The Administrator read a letter from the State Road Department <br />in answer to his request that State Road 60 be given primary <br />consideration in the State Road Program so that it might be <br />finished when Interstate 95 is finished to that point; and for <br />the possibility of a truck bypass. The Administrator was granted <br />permission to review plans with :the ;State %Road Department at <br />Fort Lauderdale prior to the County presentation at the Road Board <br />Hearing on -February 28. <br />The Administrator reported that if the road forHogan and Sons <br />were to be extended, the cost would be considerably: higher than <br />what he had ascertained previously. The Board decided that since <br />the road would only be advantageous ,to the Hogan Family, they <br />would take no action in the matter. <br />Approval of the expenses for the trip of Tom Higgins and Don <br />Adams to Orlando on February 2, on a Planning and Zoning Meeting <br />was given by the Board. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Dritenbas, seconded by <br />Commissioner Macdonald and unanimously carried that George W. <br />Simons, Jr. of Jacksonville be employed by.the County to make a <br />redraft of . the existing County Zoning Resolution, on a minimal <br />C <br />basis, primarily consisting of an editorial rewrite of the present <br />Zoning Resolution with the fundamentals the same, but to include <br />at least two more districts, one for commercial type trailer parks <br />and the other for mobile home subdivisions, and also to consult <br />with the County Zoning Commission with respect to the present <br />strip zoning on most of the major roads, of the County for retail <br />business, and to consider the rezoning of the areas in the County <br />in and around the vicinity of Gifford, at an estimated cost not <br />to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00). <br />13'13.0.1 II.
