GENERAL REQUIREMENTS. <br />(a) Approved rigid metal conduit surface metal raceways or <br />electrical -metallic tubing shall be required for light, heat and power <br />in the wiring of apartment buildings for three families or more, in <br />churches, schools, hotels, theaters, public buildings, commercial <br />buildings, manufacturing establishments, private clubs, or similar <br />occupancy. <br />(b) It shall be unlawful for any person to place, tape around <br />or otherwise conceal any improperly made joint on any light, heat, <br />or power circuit. <br />(c) The wiring for all electric ranges shall be a minimum wire <br />capacity of 40 amperes, to an approved receptacle, for ranges of <br />8 3/4 KW capacity or less. Conductor size shall be of at least 30. <br />ampere capacity. When oven circuit unit is separate from surface <br />unit, each unit shall be installed on.a separatecircuit, served with <br />conductors of not less than 30 ampere capacity. An approved method <br />of connection shall be provided for each unit. (A range asreferred <br />to above would be a complete cooking unit, consisting of both oven <br />and surface burners). <br />(d) The wiring for all water heaters shall be in a minimum <br />wire capacity of 20 amperes.
