A letter was received from Florence Leffler requesting that <br />the County abandon a public park in Glendale Terrace. On a <br />Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />Bogosian, it was unanimously carried that the County is quite <br />agreeable to abandon all of its interest on behalf of the public <br />for the park designated in Glendale Terrace, but the matter as <br />to who would own it, who could acquire it, or the validity of the <br />abandonment as far as the subdivision is concerned, is not for <br />the decision of this Board. <br />A letter was received from the Mayor of Fellsmere requesting <br />the loan of some of the County's heavy equipment for the purpose <br />of building roads through a City owned subdivision so that lots <br />could be sold. After some discussion the Board decided it had <br />no authority in the matter and the request was denied. The <br />Administrator was authorized to advise the City of Fellsmere of <br />this decision. <br />The Administrator reported that the State Road Department <br />Contract on Wabasso Road to the Fellsmere Road is going to be let <br />on the 27th of this month. <br />The Administrator reported that the speed zones on Oslo Road <br />have been changed by the State Road Department to vary from 30 <br />miles per hour to 55 miles per hour in different areas. <br />A Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried that the <br />Administrator be authorized to advertise for bids for the purchase <br />of a root rake. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner Bogosian the request of Mr. Daly to construct a <br />salvage yard south of North Gifford Road was unanimously granted. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald and seconded by <br />Commissioner Bogosian, the following Resolution was unanimously <br />adopted: <br />MAR 2 0 1968 eoai 1, .,At 18 <br />• <br />
