E . Disinfecting Potable Water Pipelines <br /> Before being placed in service , all potable water pipelines shall be chlorinated in accordance <br /> with the latest edition of AWWA C-651 , " Standard Procedure for Disinfecting Water Mains" , <br /> except that the use of tablets is strictly prohibited . The procedure shall be approved by the <br /> Engineer. The location of the chlorination and sampling points will be as specified by the <br /> Florida Department of Environmental Protection , Water Distribution System Permit.
