L <br />and in the proposed transfer of said franchise and did set forth a proposed <br />schedule of rates and charges. Based thereon, this Board did direct that a <br />public hearing be held on said request and did give notice by publication in the <br />Vero Beach Press Journal, a newspaper published in this county, for one time <br />not more than one month nor less than one week preceding such hearing and <br />certified proof of .publication of said notice has been filed with this Board and <br />the public hearing held at the time and place stated and all parties in interest <br />heard. <br />2. That the Russell Burks Water and Sewer Franchise, evidenced <br />by Resolution No. 66-34, and the proposed transfer thereof to Urban Develop- <br />ment Utilities,, Inc. , a Florida corporation not for profit, heretofore tentative <br />ly approved but not finally adopted by this Board are each herewith amended in <br />order that the holder of the franchise and the proposed transferee of the fran- <br />chise shall have authority to charge and collect not to exceed the following <br />schedule of rates which shall remain effective until changed or modified as <br />provided therein, to -wit: <br />First 5,000 gallons or fraction $4.25 per month <br />Next 10,000 gallons at the rate of 50¢ per 1,000 gallons <br />Above 15,000 gallons, at the rate of 40¢ per 1,000 gallons <br />3. This Resolution shall become effective when the Russell Burks <br />Water and Sewer Franchise has been assigned to Urban Development Utilities, <br />Inc. , a Florida corporation not for profit, and when this Board has adopted a <br />resolution approving such transfer and granting a franchise to Urban <br />Development Utilities, Inc. , and when a new system has been placed in <br />operation.; <br />APR 2 41968 HOU PAGE228 <br />
