A Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers and the State Witness Payroll for the <br />April term in the amount of $155.00 was unanimously approved. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Dritenbas, seconded by <br />Commissioner Macdonald, the expenses of Mr. I. J. Rovang to <br />Orlando to attend a RACES meeting on April 27 was unanimously <br />approved. <br />The monthly reports of the County Welfare Caseworker, the <br />County Agricultural Agent and the County Service Officer were <br />received and placed on file in the Office' of the Clerk. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers, the application of Margaret M. Madsen <br />for a pistol permit was unanimously approved. <br />Commissioner Dritenbas reported that there were problems <br />in the area concerning loose dogs which were not being picked up <br />by the Humane Society. It was decided that a committee . of Sam <br />Joyce, Sheriff and Commissioner Dritenbas would take representatives <br />of the Humane Society to Fort Pierce to study how the situation is <br />handled there. <br />Commissioner Bogosian arrived at this point and became seated <br />with the Board. <br />Paul Summers and other constituents from the Brevard County <br />area appeared before the Board requesting that Indian River County <br />join with Brevard County and other counties by declaring a <br />moratorium in the matter of the sale of land by the Trustees of the <br />Internal Improvement Fund. County,Attorney, Sherman M. Smith,Jr., <br />explained Indian River County Commissioner's Resolution 68-16 and <br />its advantages over a moratorium. <br />Upon a Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers the following Resolution was unanimously <br />adopted: <br />8o0 11 FAGE236 <br />MAY 88 1968 <br />
