A letter dated July 3, 1968 and Resolution #2005 was received <br />from the City of Vero Beach regarding the erection of a second <br />bridge across the Indian River and acquisition of right-of-way for <br />reconstruction of State Route #60. No action was taken by the Board. <br />The Board of County Commissioners then adjourned at 12:00 <br />o'clock Noon and reconvened. at 1:30 o'clock P. M. <br />After some discussion regarding the settling of. the Courthouse <br />foundations, a Motion was made by Commissioner Dritenbas, seconded <br />by Commissioner Macdonald and unanimously carried that the Board • <br />hire Universal. Engineering Testing Company to make a test on the <br />Courthouse in accordance with the offer in their letter of February <br />21, 1968. <br />Chairman Robert W. Graves submitted his resignation as Chairman <br />of the Board of County Commissioners. On a Motion made by Commissioner <br />Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Bogosian, the resignation of <br />Robert W. Graves as Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners was <br />unanimously accepted, with regret. <br />Vice Chairman D. B. McCullers, acting as Chairman of the Board, <br />then asked for nominations for Chairman. Commissioner Bogosian <br />nominated Jack U. Dritenbas as Chairman of the Board of County <br />Commissioners; Commissioner Macdonald seconded the nomination and <br />Jack U. Dritenbas was unanimously elected as Chairman of the Board <br />of County Commissioners. <br />Commissioner Dritenbas then took the seat as Chairman of the <br />Board of County Commissioners and thanked the Board for their <br />confidence in him. <br />The County Administrator reported that he had received a letter <br />from Mr. Miller of the Hospital Board regarding Dempster Dumpsters, <br />a type of disposal unit which could be very well utilized in the <br />park areas. On a Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner Bogosian and unanimously carried the Administrator was <br />authorized to acquire a number, not to exceed fourteen, of the <br />Demster Dumpsters at a cost of $10.00 each. <br />11 410$ <br />JUL 10 19R4 <br />
