E . , County Engineer INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br /> Indian River County Engineering Division ENGINEERING DIVISION <br /> 1801 270' Street <br /> Vero Beach, FL 32960 <br /> C/x <br /> Re : 660i Avenue Roadway Improvements (4t" Street to State Road 60 ) <br /> Amendment No . 16 — Professional Engineering Services Agreement <br /> IRC Project No . 9810 (CAI Job # 98 -23E) <br /> Dear Chris : <br /> We are pleased to present this proposed amendment for additional professional engineering services for the <br /> Phase 2 portion of the 660i Avenue paving and drainage improvements project (40' Street to 16t1i Street) . All <br /> provisions of the original Professional Engineering Services Agreement ( dated November 17 , 1998 ) , <br /> including Amendment Nos . 1 through 15 , shall remain in full force and effect, unless otherwise specifically <br /> modified herein . The following further describes our proposed scope of services and terms of agreement <br /> between Carter Associates , Inc . ( CAI) and Indian River County (County) : <br /> Additional Services : <br /> • Bridge design revisions to meet current Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) load <br /> requirements as requested by the County . The previous bridge design was performed in accordance <br /> with the original Professional Engineering Services Agreement which based the bridge design on the <br /> 1991 edition of the FDO T Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction and the 1994 <br /> edition of the FDOT Design Standards . In order for FDOT to accept the bridge when completed, the <br /> current load requirements must be met . (This work will be performed by TRC Worldwide <br /> Engineering, Inc . for a lump sum fee of $ 6 , 300 . 00 ; see Exhibit "A") . <br /> • Bridge construction inspection services . (Remove bridge inspection services by Jenkins & Charland , <br /> Inc . under Amendment 3 for the amount of $ 5 , 800 . 00 and add bridge inspection services by TRC <br /> Worldwide Engineering , Inc . for a lump sum amount of $ 8 , 300 . 00) . <br /> • Electrical plan revisions to meet 2010 code . The previous work was based on 2007 code .
