of an AIA Document A310 Bid Bond , properly executed by the Bidder and by a qualified surety , <br /> or a certified check or a cashier' s check , drawn on any bank authorized to do business in the <br /> State of Florida . Bid Security must be in the sum of not less than Five Percent (5%) of the total <br /> amount of the bid , made payable to Indian River County Board of County Commissioners . In <br /> the event the Contract is awarded to the Bidder, Bidder will enter in a Contract with the County <br /> and furnish the required 100% Public Construction Bond within the timeframe set by the <br /> County . If Bidder fails to do so , the Bid Security shall be retained by the County as liquidated <br /> damages and not as penalty.
