On a Motion made by'Commissioner MasseyJseconded by Commissioner <br />McCuliers, the recommendation of the Administrator that the bid of <br />Nunn Pressure Grouting Company of January 8 be accepted as recommended <br />by the Representative of Universal Engineering Testing Company was <br />unanimously approved as the lowest responsible biddet for the <br />reinforcement of the Courthouse foundation. <br />The Administrator reported that he had been unable to evaluate the <br />five bids for tractors at this time, that he would have the information <br />ready for the _next meeting. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner <br />Bogosian, it was unanimously carried that a public hearing be advertised <br />for the following zoning change: <br />the South 670feet of Tract 12, Section 2, Township 33 South, <br />Range 38 East, less the West 40 feet for a county road, Public <br />Records of -Indian River County, Florida, according to the last <br />general plat of the Indian River Farms Company filed in the office <br />of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of St. Lucie County, said lands <br />now lying and being in Indian River County Florida, <br />from Rl Single Family District to Cl Commercial. <br />Thomas H. Trent, Civil Defense Director appeared in regard to <br />appointment of County Officers. A Motion was made by Commissioner <br />McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Bogosian and unanimously carried that <br />no action be taken on these appointments until the next meeting. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner <br />Loy the applications of'Leora Howard Johnson and Herman A. Gilkey for <br />admission to a Florida State Tuberculosis Hospital were unanimously approved. <br />The Sheriff filed with the Board a statement of his appointment of <br />Carl E. Pease as Deputy Sheriff, whose voting precinct is No. 4, and <br />the said Deputy Sheriff filed his bond with the Clerk of the Circuit <br />Court, which was presented to the Board. On a Motion made by Commissioner <br />Massey, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried the <br />bond of said Deputy Sheriff was approved and ordered filed with the <br />Clerk of the Circuit Court. <br />The Clerk reported that all fee offices of the County had filed <br />with his office prior to January 15, 1969 the annual income and <br />expense report as required by law. <br />JAN 1 5 1969 <br />BOOM 12 <br />96 <br />
