On a Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by <br />Commissioner Massey and unanimously carried Charles F. Williams, <br />County Right -of -Way Agent was authorized to pay John H. Sutherland, <br />as guardian for the property of A. Walter Rohrback , <br />$50.00 for expenses in procuring right-of-way in <br />the sum of <br />addition to <br />the amount of $297.00 previously paid for parcel 4171-R, Project #88570- <br />2601 (State Road S-607: Emerson Avenue) <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Loy, seconded by Commissioner <br />McCullers, Ernestine Park, Secretary to the County Administrator was <br />unanimously granted permission to attend Governmental Secretaries' <br />Seminar in Cape Canaveral on March 19 through March 22. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner <br />Loy and unanimously carried the Administrator was authorized to request <br />a survey by an electrician to ascertain the reasons for power failures <br />in the offices of the Sheriff, the Judge and the Clerk of the Circuit <br />Court. <br />The Administrator reported that he had received a letter from <br />Mr. Dunn of the Florida East Coat Railway Company inquiring locations <br />of the warning signals which are not functioning properly. <br />The Administrator reported that Merrill Barber of the Long <br />Range Planning Council would appear before the Board on March 19 to <br />present the recommendations of the Council to the Board. <br />Applications for the position of Civil Defense Director were <br />received from the following persons: <br />Lester F. Bragg <br />Richard S. Jeffery <br />James E. Roberts <br />C. L. Cooper <br />Bud McKinnon <br />A <br />Action on the selection of Civil Defense Director'was postpona. until <br />the meeting of March 19. <br />Commissioner Massey reported that a petition has been received <br />from the Wabasso Women's Club regarding the unsightly condition of <br />87th Street from U. S. #1 to the Indian River. The petition was <br />referred to the County Administrator. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner <br />MAR 51969 <br />
