TIDNESDAY, MAY 21, 1969 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida met in regular session at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, <br />Florida on Wednesday, May 21, 1969 at 8:30 o'clock A. M. Present <br />were Jack U. Dritenbas, Chairman; Richard P. Bogosian, Vice Chairman; <br />Alma Lee Loy and Edward J. Massey. Absent was D. B. McCullers, Jr. <br />Also present were Jack G. Jennings, County Administrator; Michael <br />O'Haire, acting as County Attorney; Alfred H. Webber and Janet N. <br />Turpan, Deputy Clerks. Absent was Sherman N. Smith, Jr., County <br />Attorney. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order and asked if there <br />were any additions or corrections to the minutes of May 7, 1969. <br />There were none and upon a Motion made by Commissioner Bogosian, <br />seconded by Commissioner Massey, the minutes of May 7, 1969 were <br />unanimously approved as written. <br />David Langfitt, local realtor, reported that he had requested <br />advice and help from the Indian River Zoning Commission regarding <br />zoning regulations on high rise buildings and condominiums, and <br />found that the present Zoning Regulations are inadequate. The Board <br />advised Mr. Langfitt that tle present Zoning Regulations are being <br />revised and again referred him to the Indian River Zoning Commission. <br />Dewey Walker, Zoning Inspector, appeared before the Board, and <br />reported the many activities of his Department. He stated that Mr. <br />Umstead has moved his trailer to the proper zoning location in <br />Roseland, that one case is in the office of the Prosecuting Attorney, <br />that there are thirty junk cars ready to be picked up and that one of <br />the difficult problems, at this time, is that people are dumping <br />garbage and trash along the roads. <br />Fred Prestin, Civil Defense Director, appeared before the Board <br />requesting that the'County Administrator be authorized to sign the <br />(jIlk 1 r ,,A.,(187 <br />MAY 2 1 1969 <br />
