On a Motion made by Commissioner Loy, seconded by Commissioner <br />Massey, it was unanimously carried that the plans for leaving <br />utility poles in the right-of-way in the construction of Emerson <br />Avenue as detailed in the District Engineer's letter of June 3, <br />be approved. <br />The Board then adjourned at 12:00 o'clock Noon and reconvened <br />at 1:40 o'clock P. M. <br />The Administrator reported that the repairs to the roof of the <br />Courthouse have not been satisfactory and that the roof still leaks. <br />He reported that it was recommended by Bowen Roofing, who was doing <br />the repair work, that the entire building be reroofed which would <br />be at a cost of approximately $6,000.00 for the roofing job which <br />would, of course entail other costs. It was decided by the Board <br />that funds would be set aside for this purpose. <br />No action was taken on a letter from Jackson and Clem requesting <br />that the bars in Indian River County remain open until 2:00 o'clock <br />A. M. <br />No action was taken on a letter from the newly formed Oslo <br />Progressive Civic League requesting aid. <br />A letter was received from Doctor Flood, State Health Department, <br />regarding a subdivision which had been approved without the approval <br />of the State Health Department. After considerable discussion, it <br />was decided that the Administrator should initiate a program wherein <br />the Administrator, the engineer and the State Health Department <br />should have a consultation before the approval of the subdivision <br />is given. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Massey, seconded by Commissioner <br />Loy and unanimously carried, the State Witness Payroll for the <br />County Court May Term, 1969 in the amount of $110.72 was approved. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Loy, seconded by Commissioner <br />Massey, the following Resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />u uk 12 Pa F233 <br />JUL 9 1969 <br />
