<br />of Indian River County, Florida, will
<br />receive sealed bids to the hour of
<br />10:00 o'clock A.M. on Wednesday,
<br />August 6, 1969, and then publicly
<br />open the same at a meeting of that
<br />board in the Commissioners' Room,
<br />Indian River County Courthouse,
<br />Vero Beach, Florida, for the sale
<br />to the County of one Radio Trans-
<br />ceiver, Narrow Band, Frequency
<br />Modulated, Dual Frequency, simul-
<br />taneous monitoring, frequency
<br />range 136.000 MHZ to 162:000 MHZ;
<br />complete with tubes and micro-
<br />phone.
<br />Detailed specifications are• avai)-
<br />K able at the office of Fred J. Prestin,
<br />Director, Civil Defense Department.
<br />Time of delivery, make, model,
<br />warranty, if any, and all other

<br />Board,plainly marked on the out-
<br />side, "Bid for Radio." The Board
<br />reserves the right to reject any

<br />The Chairman then called for receipt of bids in accordance
<br />with the Notice, and the following sealed bids were received,
<br />opened, and read:
<br />Mobile Marine Communications
<br />General Electric (80 Watts) $975.00
<br />Radio Corporation of America
<br />RCA (100 Watts) 1,249.00
<br />Motorola (100 Watts) 1,320.00
<br />General Electric Company (80 Watts) 1,025.00
<br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Massey, seconded by Commissioner
<br />McCullers, it was unanimously carried • that the bids be taken
<br />to the Civil Defense Office for further study and evaluation.
<br />Marvin Carter appeared in regard to the final approval
<br />-
<br />of Crystal Sands Subdivision. The County Administrator
<br />presented the final plat of the Subdivision
<br />known as Crystal
<br />Sands Subdivision, Unit #1, and recommended its final approval
<br />as meeting County Subdivision Requirements.
