e <br />The Chairman then called for receipt of bids in accordance with <br />the Notice, and^ the: following sealed bids were received, opened and <br />read: <br />Mobile Marine Communications <br />80 Watt,General Electric $1,150.00 <br />35 " 795.00 <br />Motorola Communications, Inc. <br />110 Watt 1,200.00 <br />40 800.00 <br />Radio Corporation of America <br />100 Watt 1,249.00 <br />The Civil Defense Director explained that the additional power of <br />the 40 watt equipment would sufficently increase the range of <br />operation to justify the difference of $5.00 in the bids submitted <br />by Motorola and General Electric. A Motion was made by Commissioner <br />Bogosian, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried <br />that the bid of Motorola Communications, Inc. for the 40 watt unit <br />at a cost of $800.00 be accepted in view of the Civil Defense Director's <br />comments. <br />The Clerk presented 400 additional names to the 1969 Jury List. <br />After due consideration by the members of the Board, a Motion was <br />made by Commissioner Massey, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and <br />unanimously carried that the following persons be selected, in <br />.compliance with the Laws of Florida to be placed on the Indian River <br />County Jury List for the year 1969. <br />`969 <br />LAX 12 Pa E2g6 <br />
