Florida Municipal Pension Trust Fund <br /> 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan <br /> A Valuation Date that is a Business Day ends at the same time that the Business Day <br /> ends . A Valuation Date that is not a Business Day ends at 4 p . m . New York Time . <br /> 3 . 69 "Valuation Period" <br /> means the time after the close of regular trading [usually , 4 : 00 p . m . New York Time ] of a <br /> Valuation Date to the close of the next Valuation Date . <br /> 3 . 70 "Year " <br /> means the calendar year . <br /> For all purposes of administering the Plan , the Plan Sponsor shall be entitled to rely on <br /> the assumption that a Participant ' s taxable year is the calendar Year, unless the <br /> Participant gives written notice specifying his or her taxable year. <br /> 4 . Participation in the Plan <br /> 4 . 1 Enrollment <br /> An Employee becomes a Participant only by completing and executing and delivering all of <br /> the instruments or forms required by the Plan . <br /> 4 . 2 Participation Agreement <br /> If the Employee elects to make Employee Contributions , the Participant shall enroll in the <br /> Plan by executing a Participation Agreement (on the form prescribed by the Plan <br /> Administrator) to make those Employee Contributions . When entering into or amending <br /> his or her Participation Agreement , the Participant must agree to defer the minimum <br /> amount that is required under each Plan Investment indicated by the Participant ' s <br /> Participation Agreement, and must agree to defer not more than the maximum amount <br /> provided by Part 5 ["Contribution limit"] . <br /> 4 .3 Application for Plan Investment <br /> As a condition to participation in the Plan , the Participant shall complete the application <br /> form( s ) provided by the Issuer(s) of any Plan Investment( s) in order for the appropriate <br /> contract( s) or certificate( s ) to be issued or record established . <br /> 4 .4 Employee responsible to enroll <br /> If the Employee fails to complete and execute and deliver any enrollment forms required <br /> according to this Part, he or she shall not be entitled to receive an allocation of <br /> any <br /> Contributions under the Plan. <br /> Florida Municipal Pension Trust Fund <br /> Florida League of Cities, Inc . <br /> Page 24 <br /> 02, 0 1 /2009 <br />
