The Administrator was requested <br />to inquire where the existing vacancies are and to request recommendations <br />to fill them. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Bogosian, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers, it was unanimously carried that Commissioner <br />Massey be appointed to serve as•a representative of the Indian River <br />Board of County Commimiorer6 to the Indian River Mental Health Center. <br />A letter was received from State Representative Charles Davis <br />regarding a proposed bill banning the removal of oysters from the <br />County by anyone excepting a licensed agent. The Administrator was <br />instructed to ask Charles Davis to meet with the Board of County <br />Commissioners at his earliest convenience. <br />A letter was received from Taylor Simpson regarding a liaison <br />meeting between the Board of County Commissioners and the City <br />Council of Vero Beach which was set up for Thursday, October 23 <br />in the evening. <br />The Administrator was authorized to notify State Representative <br />Charles Davis that the Board is in favor of the proposed bill <br />submitted by him in regard to all water and sewer systems being <br />regulated by the Florida Public Service Commission regardless of <br />the number of members of the system. <br />A letter was received from Jack Tierney regarding the <br />recent lot size requirements used .by the State Board of Health <br />for regulation of installation of septic tanks. The Administrator <br />was requested to contact the State Board of Health to have them <br />meet with the Board of County Commissioners at their earliest <br />convenience. <br />Commissioner Bogosian reported that he had received a request <br />from a neighbor that a stop sign be placed at the exit of the <br />Country Club Parking Lot. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Massey, seconded by Commissioner <br />Bogosian the following Resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />tjk. 12Ptd E365 <br />OCT 8 1969 <br />
