• <br />MONDAY, OCTOBER 13, 1969 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida met in special session at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, <br />Florida on Monday, October 13, 1969 at 8:30 o'clock A. M. <br />Present were Jack U. Dritenbas, Chairman; Richard P. Bogosian, <br />Vice Chairman; D. B. McCullers, Jr.; Alma Lee Loy and Edward J. <br />Massey. Also present were Jack G. Jennings, County Administrator; <br />Sherman N. Smith, Jr., Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; <br />Alfred H. Webber and Janet N. Turpan, Deputy Clerks. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order and explained that the <br />purpose for the special meeting of the Board was to appoint a <br />new Attorney to the Board to fill the ensuing vacancy tau:sed <br />by the resignation of Sherman N. Smith, Jr. present Attorney to <br />the Board of County Commissioners. <br />A Motion was made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commiss- <br />idner,. Bogosian and unanimously carried that Paul D. Burch be <br />appointed to the position of Attorney to the Board of County <br />Commissioners, effective October 15, 1969, and that the Clerk <br />inform the new Attorney to the Board of his appointment. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by <br />Commissioner Loy, it was unanimously carried that the salary of <br />Jack G. Jennings, County Administrator, be increased from $13,000.00 <br />to $14,000.00 per year, effective October 1, 1969. <br />There being no further business, on Motion made, seconded and <br />carried, the Board then adjourned at 8:45 o'clock A.
