On a Motion made by Commissioner Bogosian, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers, it was unanimously carried that the <br />Administrator be directed to inform the Board of Public Instruction, <br />in answer to their letter of October 2Q, 1969 requesting the use <br />of County trucks and other equipment on a hourly basis to aid <br />in drain and fill operations for a sewerage disposal plant at the <br />Middle School, that due to the present overload of work that is <br />being placed on the Road and Bridge Department, the Board regrettably <br />denies the request.. <br />Homer C. Fletcher, County Tax Assessor, and Mr. Davis, Financial <br />Director of the School Board appeared before the Board in regard <br />to the method of payment of the School Board's Tax Commissions. <br />A Motion was made by Commissioner Loy, seconded by Commissioner <br />Massey and unanimously carried that the Attorney to the Board of <br />County Commissioners, the Attorney to the School Board, the Tax <br />Assessor and the Tax Collector meet and research the legal aspects <br />and submit their findings to the Board. <br />A letter was received from Leslie J. Crain, Hydrologist, of <br />the United States Geological Department requesting permission <br />for boring in different localities on County Property. A Motion <br />was made by Commissioner Massey, seconded by Commissioner Bogosian <br />and unanimously carried that the request be approved. <br />A Motion was made by Commissioner Loy, seconded by Commissioner <br />Massey and unanimously carried that the request of the Town of <br />Indian River Shores that a sign be placed at the intersection of <br />Beachland Boulevard and S. R. A -1-A designating the mileage to <br />the Town of Indian River Shores and John's Island, be referred to <br />the State Department of Transportation. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Loy, seconded by Commissioner <br />McCullers, the following Resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />Otik 12 391 <br />OCT 2 21969 <br />
