• <br />The foregoing memorandum was read, and on Motion of. <br />Commissioner Massey, seconded by Commissioner Loy it was <br />unanimously voted to request the Administrator to notify.Mr. <br />Roberson that the choice of the Commissioners for a name of the <br />Park in question is " The Donald Macdonald Park". <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Bogosian, seconded by <br />Commissioner Loy the following Resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 69-63 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, <br />resolves: <br />1. Sherman N. Smith, Jr. has served Indian River County, Florida <br />as County Attorney from January 3, 1950 to August 1, 1961 and again from <br />January 4, 1967 to October 15, 1969 and has abley counseled and advised the <br />Board of County Commissioners on all legal matters effecting this County and <br />has given the Board the further benefit of his legislative and judicial exper- <br />ience together with his personal knowledge of the history of the County and <br />its citizens. <br />2. He has served Indian River County with expert legal ability. He <br />has faithfully attended and served at all meetings of the Board of County <br />Commissioners and other County Boards and consulted unsparingly with those <br />requesting his advice and assistance and he is now retiring from those great <br />duties and responsibilities as County Attorney. <br />3. This Board and its members individually and upon behalf of the <br />citizens of this County do hereby publicly recognize and express its sincere <br />thanks and appreciation to Sherman N. Smith, Jr. for his many years of <br />devoted and distinguished service to Indian River County, Florida. <br />4. A certified copy of this Resolution shall be furnished to the news <br />media and Mr. Smith. <br />°CI 221969 <br />(21 <br />
