14,.E -b 6 � •1 r - �� <br />The Attorney to the Board reported that the.contribution by <br />the County could be made to the Sebastian ambulance group for the <br />purchase of a new ambulance if they became a part of the Indian River <br />Volunteer Ambulance Squad. It was decided that the Indian River <br />Volunteer Ambulance Squad, members of the Sebastian ambulance group <br />and the Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners would work <br />together in the matter. <br />The Board then adjourned at 1:00 o'clock P. M. and reconvened at <br />2:30 o'clock P. M. Absent was Paul D. Burch, Attorney to the Board <br />of County Commissioners. <br />FranX Shearer, resident of Vero Beach Highlands appeared in <br />objection to a cow pasture which was to be put on a nearby area <br />owned by General Development Corporation. Mr. Shearer was told that <br />the community should voice its objection to General Development <br />Corporation; and that if he felt the fence was being put on the <br />drainage easement, he could contact the Indian River Farms Drainage <br />District. <br />Attorney Charles Herring appeared before the Board requesting <br />a Resolution by the Board of County Commissioners cancelling 1969 <br />taxes on parcels of land sold to the State for Sebastian Inlet Park. <br />Attorney Herring was requested to present a letter to the Chairman, <br />a copy to,be sent to the Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners, <br />that would enable them to waiver the taxes for that length of time <br />the land was owned by the State. <br />The Zoning Inspector appeared and presented Mrs. Loretta -Collins <br />who appeared in behalf of her husband Jim Collins, requesting approval <br />of the Board to operate a junk yard. A Motion was made by Commissioner <br />Massey, seconded by Commissioner Bogosian and unanimously carried <br />that this Board accepts the recommendation of the Zoning Board and <br />approves the operation of a junk yard by Jim Collins with the <br />provision that it meet with County Requirements. <br />FEB 4 1970 � <br />
