0 <br />L <br />WEDNESDAY, MAY 20, 1970 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida met in regular session at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, <br />Florida on Wednesday, May 20, 1970 at 8:30 o'clock A. M. Present <br />were Richard P. Bogosian, Vice Chairman, D. B. McCullers, Jr., <br />Edward J. Massey and Alma Lee Loy. Absent=was Chairman Jack U. <br />Dritenbas. Also present were Jack G. Jennings, County Administrator; <br />Paul D. Burch, Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners, and <br />Alfred H. Webber and Janet N. Turpan, Deputy Clerks. <br />Vice Chairman Bogosian acting as Chairman called the meeting <br />to order. Paul D. Burch, Attorney to the Board reported on legal <br />matters and left the meeting. <br />The Chairman then asked if there were any additions or <br />corrections to the Minutes of May 6, 1970. There were none and <br />upon a Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by <br />Commissioner Loy, the Minutes of May 6, 1970 were unanimously <br />approved as written. <br />Dewey Walker, County Zoning Inspector, reported on progress <br />being made in removing zoning violations. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by <br />Commissioner Loy, the request of Bert Martin for advertisement <br />for public hearing for a zoning change from R1 to Cl was unanimously <br />approved. <br />James Beindorf and Leslie Johnston of the -Moorings Development <br />Company appeared before the Board in recjard to the initiation --of a <br />new zoning code, R 2W, in which one story residences would be <br />allowed to be built partially extending over artificial waterways. <br />The Board was in agreement with the concept. <br />The hour of 9:00 o'clock A.
