e <br />a <br />The foregoing letter having been considered, a Motion was <br />made by Commissioner Massey, seconded by Commissioner McCullers, <br />and unanimously carried that the Motion of acceptance of Item #3 <br />in the bid opening of May 6 be rescinded and that the bid of Item <br />#3, 2 Ton Flatbed Truck, less trade-in, be awarded to the second <br />lowest bidder, Arnold Ford Sales, Inc. at a cost of $4,971.00. <br />A Motion was made by Commissioner Massey, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried that the request for <br />advertisement for public hearing for abandonment of sections of <br />Orange Street and Tropical Avenue in Weona Park Subdivision in <br />Wabasso be approved. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by <br />Commissioner Massey, the County Administrator was unanimously <br />authorized to advertise for bids for sections for extending the <br />County Garage by 20 feet, cost to run between $7,500.00 and $8,000.00. <br />A Motion was made by Commissioner Massey; seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried that the Administrator <br />is authorized to hire life guards for Ambersand Beach and for <br />Wabasso Beach for the summer months. <br />A Motion was made by Commissioner Massey, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried that the Attorney <br />to the Board of County Commissioners review the Zoning Resolution <br />of September 20, 1960 in regard to mining having been done by <br />Florida Minerals Corporation and to advise them of its contents. <br />The Administrator was requested to acknowledge the letter <br />from John Wilson, Department Traffic Engineer of the State <br />Department of Transportation regarding the traffic study at 30th <br />Street and U. S. #1. <br />A Motion was made by Commissioner Loy, seconded by Commissioner <br />Massey and unanimously carried that Ralph Harris, Clerk, is <br />authorized to use space in the second story of the Annex for <br />storage purposes on a temporary basis. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Loy, seconded by Commissioner <br />McCullers the State Witness Payroll for the County Court, May <br />MAY 2 0 1970 <br />I <br />
