i <br />THURSDAY, JULY 16, 1970 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida met in special session at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, <br />Florida on Thursday, July 16, 1970 at 2:00 o'clock P. M. Present <br />were Jack,U. Dritenbas, Chairman, Richard P. Bogosian, Vice <br />Chairman, Alma Lee Loy and Edward J. Massey.' Absent was D. B. <br />McCullers, Jr. Also present were Jack G. Jennings, County <br />Administrator, Paul D. Burch, Attorney to the Board of County <br />Commissioners, and Alfred H. Webber and Janet N. Turpan, Deputy <br />Clerks. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order and explained that <br />the purpose of the meeting was to review the 1970-71 Tentative <br />Budget. <br />There was some discussion regarding the unrestricted placing <br />of mobile homes throughout the County; whereupon a Motion was <br />made by Commissioner Bogosian, seconded by Commissioner Loy and, <br />unanimously carried that the possibility of declaring a moratorium <br />on the location of mobile homes throughout the County be discussed <br />at the next meeting on July 22, to be put into effect until the <br />time that the Planning and Zoning Commission can activate the <br />proposed zoning law for establishing planned mobile home -districts <br />throughout the County. <br />Sam Joyce, Sheriff appeared before the Board in regard to <br />the problem of beach buggies. It was agreed by the Board that the <br />matter would be taken up at the next regular meeting of the Board. <br />On a Motion made -by Commissioner Massey, seconded by <br />Commissioner Bogosian, the Commissioner's Tentative Budget was <br />unanimously adopted and the Clerk was authorized.to advertise for <br />public hearing. <br />f <br />AUL C ,/ <br />
