kessler consulting Inc. innovative waste solutions Indian River County, Florida Solid Waste Disposal District Amendment # 1 to Scope of Work for Technical Assistance with Recyclables Processing Procurement April 11 , 2012 BACKGROUND Kessler Consulting , Inc . ( KCI ) provided technical assistance to Indian River County ( County ) in reviewing and evaluating proposals received in response to its Request for Proposals for Recyclables Transfer, Processing and Marketing Services ( RFP ) . The purpose of this amendment is to more fully outline the Task 2 activities and provide a budget for assisting with contract development and negotiation . SCOPE OF SERVICES Task 2 : Contract Development and Negotiation KCI will conduct the following activities on a time - and - materials basis as requested by County staff : • Review and comment on draft contract developed by County staff. • Participate in contract negotiation meeting with County staff and ReCommunity . • Review and comment on contract changes proposed by ReCommunity . • Discuss a transition strategy with County staff. DELIVERABLES • Comments on draft contract . • Comments on contract verbiage proposed by ReCommunity . • Participation in one meeting and additional calls as needed . PROJECT BUDGET Because the exact level of effort that will be requested by the County is not known , KCI proposes to conduct Task 2 on a time -and - materials basis for an amount not to exceed $ 8 , 000 . Services will be invoiced monthly at the rates provided in our original Scope of Work , which include all overhead and direct and indirect costs . Expenses ( e . g . , travel ) will be billed at cost without markup .
