The Sheriff filed with the Board a statement of his <br />appointment of Kurt L. Kuehn as a Deputy Sheriff, whose voting <br />precinct is No. 3A, and the said Deputy.Sheriff filed his <br />bond with the Clerk of the Circuit Court, which was presented to <br />the Board. On Motion of Commissioner McCullers, second of <br />Commissioner Loy, the bond of said Deputy Sheriff was unanimously <br />approved and ordered filed with the Clerk of the Circuit Court. <br />On Motion of Commissioner Loy, second of Commissioner <br />Massey the State Witness Payroll for the Circuit Court, Spring. <br />Term in the amount of $615.64 was unanimously approved. <br />The report of the County Welfare Caseworker and the report <br />of the County Service Officer were received and ordered filed <br />in the office of the Clerk. <br />On Motion of Commissioner Loy, second of Commissioner <br />McCullers, the Board unanimously approved the travel of 01adys <br />Vigliano, County Welfare Caseworker, to St. Augustine to <br />attend the Florida Association of County Welfare Executives <br />on October 17 through -.21, 1970; and of George S. Stokes, County <br />Service Officer to St. Petersburg on October 14.,15 and 16 to <br />attend Mid -Winter Conference. <br />On Motion of Commissioner McCullers, second of Commissioner <br />Loy, the Board unanimously approved the applications for permits <br />to carry firearms of John A. Merrill= Leo Schlitt, Jr.; Marian <br />L. Penalba andWesley U. Newcome. <br />On recommendation of Sam T. Joyce, Sheriff of Indian River <br />County, it was moved by Commissioner Massey, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers and unanimously voted to cancel the <br />pistol permit issued to Florence C.
