Sod shall be placed around all structures , equipment pads , etc . <br /> I . Watering : The areas on which the sod is to be placed shall contain sufficient moisture , <br /> as determined by the Engineer , for optimum results . After being placed , the sod shall <br /> be kept in a moist condition to the full depth of the rooting zone for at least 2 weeks . <br /> Thereafter , the Contractor shall apply water as needed until the sod roots and starts to <br /> grow for a minimum of 60 days (or until final acceptance , whichever is latest ) . <br /> J . Maintenance : The Contractor shall , at his expense , maintain the sodded areas in a <br /> satisfactory condition until final acceptance of the project . Such maintenance shall <br /> include repairing of any damaged areas and replacing areas in which the <br /> establishment of the grass stand does not appear to be developing satisfactorily . <br /> Replanting or repair necessary due to the Contractor' s negligence , carelessness or <br /> failure to provide routine maintenance shall be at the Contractor' s expense . <br /> The Contractor shall maintain the sodded area up to the final acceptance date as <br /> directed by the Engineer.
