Am! <br />heretofore pursuant to law duly advertised for bids for the construction and equipment of <br />a jail in and for said County and pursuant to such advertisement has received bids for <br />the construction and equipment of a jail for said County, and, <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has heretofore determined that the bid of <br />Pauly Jail Building Company for the construction and equipment of said Jail was the most <br />satisfactory bid and that said 1^auly Jail Building Company was and is the lowest respon- <br />sible bidder for the construction and equipment of such jail at and for the sum of Twent <br />two thousand dollars, and <br />REAS, the Board of County Commissioners has given notice that it would act upon <br />the question of the construction and equipment of the Jail in and for said County at this <br />meeting; therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board 'of County Commissioners of Indian River County,Florida, <br />that said Board does hereby determine that it is for the best interest of said County to <br />construct and equip a jail therein and that the bid of Paul Jail Building Company for the <br />construction and equipment of such jail, according to the plans and specifications in <br />such bid set forth, according to the plans and specifications in such bid set forth, is <br />the best and most satisfactory bid and that said Company is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />BE IT FURTHER RMOLVED by the Board of county Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Flom:- v.. that the -bid of Pauly Jail Building company for the construction and equipment <br />of a Jail in and for said County at and for the sum of twenty-two thousand dollars, acc- <br />ording to the plans and specifications set forth in said bid, be, and the same is,hereby <br />accepted, and the c.'haiaman and Clerk of said Board be, and they are hereby authorized and <br />empowered to execute, on behalf of and in the name of said Board, a contract with said <br />Pauly Jail Building Company for the construction and equipment of said Jail; provided <br />said Company shall furnish to said Board a bond with satisfactory security in an amount <br />equal to the amount of said contract conditioned for the faithful performance of said <br />contract according to law. <br />Upon being put to a vote, the resolution was unanimously adopted. <br />There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and carried, the Board <br />edJ ourned. <br />ATTEST: <br />C 1 e r k. <br />rman <br />I- <br />I <br />1 <br />
