r All other Members of the Board and the same County officials were present. Also present was Homer C. Fletcher, County Tax Assessor. Also present were Dan K. Richardson, Chairman; Rivers Anderson, Vice Chairman; L. D. Baker; R. G. DuBose and Warren T. Zeuch, Jr.; Members of the Indian River County School Board. Also present were Superintendent of Schools, William McClure; Assistant Superintendent for Instruction,n, William E. Geor e; Tildon Davis, Finance Officer and Gordon Johnston, Attorney to the School Board. The Chairman explained that the reason for the continuation of the meeting was, that due to a property value study made by the Legislative Auditor, Indian River County's Tax Assessment Roll was considered to be 820% of true value; which would result in a shortage of 180/6 of State Funds to the County, as compared to prior years. Homer C. Fletcher, County Tax Assessor, appeared and said that in his opinion the Legislative Study was not a true portrayal of County assessments, that in order that this might be _ proven, which might, in fact, be of some financial benefit to the`! County, it would be necessary to hire a qualified assessor. Thereupon Mr. Fletcher introduced Mr. Warren Hunnicutt , of Hunnicutt and Associates, who explained the process to be taken$ in the project which would be at a cost of $20,000.00. . After discussion, Motion was made by Commissioner Dritenbas, 1 Commissioner Masse that this Board give 10,000.00 second by Comm y, WT 111 toward the ratio study by Hunnicutt and Associates, provided that; the School Board donate the remaining $10,000.00, and provided that 1� the Attorneys research the legality of the action and prepare the Contract. The Commissioners present voted for the Motion; and i - Commissioner McCullers was absent There being no further business, on Motion made, seconded v;. and carried, the Board adjourned at 9:30 o'clock P.
