RESOLUTION 71-17 <br />WHEREAS, FRED J. PRESTIN has resigned as the Indian River <br />County Civil Defense Director, and <br />W-IMEREAS.. a va-cancy-noawexists-in-that position, and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County has received applications for appointment to the position of Civil <br />Defense Director, and <br />WHEREAS, the Board has thoroughly studied the applications, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River. County that JAY A. SMITH, 630 Eugenia <br />Road, Vero Beach, Florida, is hereby appointed Indian River County Civil <br />Defense Director. The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County has found that JAY A. SMITH meets all of the minimum qualifications <br />for the position of local Civil Defense Director in compliance with the Statement <br />of Policy approved by the State Cabinet on January 31, 1967.
