�I <br />k � <br />RESOLUTION NO. 71-16 <br />i <br />PRIMARY ROADS <br />WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation is now <br />preparing its budget for construction of the primary road system <br />in the State for the fiscal year 1972-1973; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County, Florida,is vitally interested in the improvement of the <br />1 <br />primary road system in Indian River County, Florida; Now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County, Florida, that this Board does herewith respectfully <br />request the Florida Department of Transportation to include in its <br />budget or primary roads for the fiscal year 1972-1973 the following <br />^projects in Indian River County: <br />1. . �»ompletior� : of fassiTity study now being made for the <br />Florida Department of Transportation by consultants to determine <br />the need and location of a second bridge across the -Indian River in <br />the vicinity of the City of Vero Beach, Florida. <br />2. Reschedule $200,000 now budgeted for 1973-1974 to be moved <br />ahead to 1972-1973 in order to expedite the design phase of the <br />subject second bridge at the earliest possible date. <br />3. Widen and reconstruct SR 605 (Old Dixie Highway)'from the <br />South County Line to SR 60 (20th Street). y <br />4. Widen and reconstruct AlA Highway to a four lane highway <br />with left turn holding lanes through the City of Vero Beach. <br />5. Widen and reconstruct AlA Highway from the South County <br />Line to the City of Vero Beach. <br />6.
