WEDNESDAY. APRIL 7, 1971 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida met in regular session at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida <br />on Wednesday, April 7, 1971 at 8:30 o'clock A. M. Present were <br />Richard P. Bogosian,_ Chairman.,_. Alma Iee..Loy, Vice. Chairman; D. B_ <br />McCullers, Jr.; Jack U. Dritenbas and Edward J. Massey. Also <br />present were Jack G. Jennings, County Administrator; Paul D. Burch, <br />Attorney to the Board; Sam Joyce, Sheriff; and Ralph H. Stewart and <br />Janet N. Turpan, Deputy Clerks. <br />• <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order and asked if <br />there were any corrections or additions to the minutes of the <br />regular meeting of March 24, 1971. Commissioner Loy requested that <br />an addition be made on Page 8, Paragraph 2,.that the words"according <br />to County needs" should be added after the words"surplus jeep <br />ambulances". This correction having been made, Motion was made by <br />Commissioner Loy, second by Commissioner Massey and the minutes of <br />the regular meeting of March 24, 1971 were unanimously approved as <br />corrected. <br />Dewey Walker, County Zoning Inspector, reported on zoning <br />violations. The Zoning Inspector presented a request by Winton <br />Roschach on a change on zoning permits which was referred to the <br />Zoning Board. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Dritenbas, second by <br />Commissioner Loy and unanimously carried that the Board establish <br />a policy of not abandoning parks in subdivisions and that the <br />Attorney prepare a resolution. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Dritenbas, second by Commissioner <br />Loy, the Board unanimously voted to deny the request of Mrs. <br />Phillip Streeter to abandon Lot 1, Block 1, Golf View Estates <br />Subdivision and that she be so informed by the Administrator. <br />APR 7 <br />NII <br />
