A Motion was made by Commissioner Loy, second by <br />Commissioner Massey, and the Board unanimously voted that the <br />Administrator be authorized to proceed in the necessary steps <br />for the purpose of installing a traffic signal at the intersection <br />of SR 5 and 5A in Gifford. <br />A letter was received- f rom- Iceith- Salter- regarding- <br />establishing'SR 510 between U. S.#1 and Al -A as a scenic highway., <br />Commissionerstoy and Massey were authorized to work with the <br />Administrator and other officials on the project. <br />On Motion of Commissioner Dritenbas, second of Commissioner <br />McCullers, the Board unanimously voted to deny the request of <br />Attorney Gallagher to abandon a portion of 21st Street in El Vero <br />VVJLlla: SVbdiVis ion., <br />The Attorney reported that unless -the ownership of the <br />old cemeteries could be ascertained and deeds made out to the County, <br />the County would be unable to go in and clean them up. <br />The Board then adjourned at 12:10 P. M. and reconvened at <br />1:30 o'clock P. M. <br />The County Administrator presented a final plat of a <br />Subdivision known as Vero Beach Highland Subdivision, Units 3 <br />and 4, and recommended its final approval as meeting County Subdivision <br />Requirements. Upon a Motion made by Commissioner Dritenbas, seconded <br />by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried, the recommended <br />final approval was given for Vero Beach Highlands Subdivision, <br />Units 3 and 4, with the provision that the ditches aild roads are <br />maintained by the developer for a one year period before final <br />inspection and acceptance by the County. <br />On Motion of Commissioner McCullers, second of Commissioner <br />Massey, the Board unanimously voted to accept the following <br />dedication: <br />T <br />APR 7 1971 <br />■®a <br />
