William McClure, Superintendent of the Indian River County <br />School Board, and Ellis Duncan, Architect of the Indian River County <br />School Board appeared before the Board and requested that the <br />rights-of-way on 12th and 16th Avenues adjoining the School Board <br />-Property be cleared and that proper culverts and drainage be <br />installed for these roads. On Motion of Commissioner Massey, <br />second of Commissioner Loy, the Board unanimously authorized the <br />Administrator to clear any right-of-way that belongs to the County . <br />adjoining School Board Property, that permits are obtained from the <br />Drainage District, and culverts installed as pertains to County <br />drainage and provide some holding and passing lanes,at Elementary <br />r <br />School A-68. <br />_ i <br />On Motion of Commissioner Loy, second of Commissioner <br />Dritenbas, the Board unanimously voted that on 20th Street from j <br />12th Avenue to 16th Avenue, the right-of-way be cleared and culverts <br />installed. <br />On Motion of Commissioner Massey, second of Commissioner <br />McCullers, the request.of Jay A. Smith, Civil Defense Director, to <br />purchase a guy wire at a cost of $50.00 was unanimously approved. <br />k <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Massey, secgnded by <br />Commissioner McCullers, the Board unanimously approved blanket <br />authority of Jay A. Smith to attend the monthly meetings of the F <br />Directors of Civil Defense. <br />The Administrator was requested to write a letter to all o- <br />i <br />the Elected Officials requesting them to require that their employees k <br />park in the new parking lot. <br />On Motion of Commissioner McCullers, second of Commissioner <br />Massey, the Board unanimously authorized the Administrator to <br />reconstruct 10th.Street between U. S. 1 and 6th Avenue. <br />On Motion made by Commissioner Dritenbas, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers, the Board unanimously approved the request <br />of the Administrator for installation of additional restroom facilities <br />at the County Barn, most to approximate $4,000.00 or $5,000.00. <br />14 wE275 <br />Y 19 1971 <br />
