� r � <br />THURSDAY, AUGUST 26, 1971- <br />The Tax Adjustment Board of Indian River County, Florida <br />met in special session at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida on <br />Thursday, August 26, 1971 at 2:30 o'clock P. M. Present were <br />Richard.P. Bogosian, Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners; <br />Alma Lee Loy and Edward J. Massey, Indian River County Board of <br />County Commissioners; and Robert G. DuBose and B. Q. Waddell, Indian <br />River County School Board. Also present were Homer C. Fletcher, <br />County Tax Assessor; William G. O'Neal, Esquire, representing <br />Homer C. Fletcher; Paul D. Burch, Attorney to the Board of County <br />Commissioners; Jack 'G. Jennings, County Administrator; and L. S. <br />Thomas, Jr. and Janet N. Turpan, Deputy Clerks. <br />The Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners having <br />called the meeting to order; the Tax Assessor advised that the <br />1971 tax roll has been approved by the Department of Revenue. <br />The Tax Assessor advised that petitioners have until <br />September 13, in which to oppose current tax assessments. Five <br />days being required by law after notification of date of hearing <br />to petitioners, the hearing on tax assessment petitions was <br />scheduled for Wednesday, September 22 at 2:30 o'clock P. M. <br />Rudy Hercun, protesting the fact that the Law Library <br />was not open to him, was told to submit his petition with the <br />complaint attached.. <br />There being no further business, on Motion of Xrr.­tMB6se -_ <br />second of Commissioner Massey and unanimously carried, the Tax <br />Adjustment Board 4vurned until September 22, at 2:30 o'clock P.
