v The Administrator reported on the meeting held on. public transportation by the Department of Transportation in r Tampa. On Motion of Commissioner Loy, second of Commissioner Dritenbas, retroactive approval was given for travel of the Administrator to Tampa for a Public Transportation Meeting on September 7th, and to meet with the County Clerk in Oseola County on September 2. i On, Motion of Commissioner Loy, second of•Commissioner Dritenbas, the Board unanimously approved travel of the Clerk of the Circuit Court,.a Deputy Clerk, the County Administrator, the Attorney to the Board, and Members of the Board of County Commissioners to Miami Beach on September 12 through 15 to attend the Annual Fall Conference of the State Association of County Commissioners. There was some discussion regarding the work load and i pay schedule of Donald Adams, City -County Building Director. It was decided that personnel matters relating to the Building Department be handled by the City and that personnel matters relating to the Planning Department be handled by the County Administrator. On Motion of Commissioner Massey, second of Commissioner Loy, the Board unanimously accepted the offer of a two acre parcel of land to be donated by the Gulf and Western Company and.a $2,000.00 cash donation to be used for the development of the park in Gifford. The Administrator was requested.to convey the f appreciation of the Board. The Administrator was requested to contact the. State Department of Transportation regarding a blinker light to be installed at SR 5A and SR 510. i On Motion of Commissioner Dritenbas, second of Commissioner Loy, the Board unanimously approved application of Edward,L. Ayres for a permit to carry firearms. On Motion of Commissioner Loy, second of Commissioner Massey, the Board unanimously approved applications of Mamie C. Driggers, Willard H.
