A <br />Upon Motion made by Commissioner Dritenbas, seconded by <br />Commissioner Loy,'the following Resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 71-54 <br />WHEREAS, the Vero Beach - Indian River County Building and <br />Zoning Director has recommended certain changes in the Indian River <br />County Building Code Resolution, and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />are in agreement with said recommendations, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of <br />County Commissioners of Indian River County that the Indian River <br />County Building Code Regulation is hereby amended so as to require <br />the following provisions: <br />1. All elevators installed in any structure in Indian River <br />County shall be a minimum 3000# elevator, having a carriage size of <br />five feet six inches by seven feet, and a minimum door size of three <br />feet six inches wide. <br />2. Section 902. 3, paragraph 1 of the Southern Standard Building <br />Code is hereby amended for use in Indian River County as follows: <br />Buildings exceeding one story and 50 feet in height is changed to <br />buildings exceeding three stories or more. The purpose of this change <br />is to require installation of fire fighting equipment on each floor within <br />reach of the most remote area of the building in accordance with <br />N. F. P.A.
