S ECTION 01060 <br /> REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS AND NOTIFICATION <br /> PART 1 — GENERAL <br /> 1 . 01 PERMITS REQUIRED <br /> A . The Spoonbill Marsh Wetland. Facility has been permitted though the Florida Department of <br /> Environmental Protection , St John ' s Water Management District and the Army Corp of <br /> Engineers, as well as County building permits . No additional permits are required for the <br /> Floating Mat System . <br /> 1 . 02 NOTIFICATION <br /> A . Indian River County : The Contractor is required to notify the Indian River County Utilities <br /> Department 48 hours prior to initiating construction ( Art Pfeffer 772 -226 - 1826 or 772 - 571 - <br /> 7511 ) . <br /> B . The Contractor shall give the Owner not less than seven ( 7) calendar days notice of the time <br /> and place (or places) where he will start the work. <br /> C . If should the Contractor's excavating operations encounter prehistoric remains or artifacts of <br /> historical or archeological significance, the operations shall be temporarily discontinued in <br /> that area and the Engineer shall be notified. The Engineer will consult archaeological <br /> authorities and determine the disposition of the remains or artifacts . The Contractor agrees <br /> that he will make no claim for additional payment or for extension of time because of any <br /> delays in or alteration of his procedure due to removal of any such remains or artifacts . <br /> An archeological survey has been performed . <br /> END OF SECTION <br /> 01060 - 1 <br />
