A letter Was received from W. T. Carlton regarding a <br />law on coastal construction set -back, also stating that a survey <br />could be made in Indian River County at no cost to the Bounty. <br />A Motion was made by Commissioner Loy, seconded by Commissioner <br />Dritenbas and unanimously carried that this .Board go on record <br />as requesting the Bureau of Beaches and Shores that this survey be <br />conducted in Indian River County at the earliest possible moment. <br />A Motion was made by Commissioner Loy, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried that the Administrator <br />be authorized to advertise for bids for collection equipment for <br />solid waste purposes. <br />The Board then adjourned at 12:00 o'clock Noon and <br />reconvened at 1:30 o'clock P. M. <br />A Motion was made by Commissioner Massey, seconded by <br />Commissioner Loy and unanimously carried that the"Administrator be <br />authorized to purchase a new mower for the Rockridge Park. <br />A Motion was made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by <br />Commissioner Massey and unanimously carried that the Administrator <br />be authorized to clear Lots 56, 56 and 59 in F'ellsmere as they <br />adjoined a colored church. <br />The Board decided to post signs prohibiting animals without <br />leash at Blue Cypress Lake, as requested by Joe Middleton. <br />The Attorney to the Board reported on the suit against the <br />County by John Pierson, stating that the Board might consider a six <br />foot fence at the landfill on South Gifford Road and might also be <br />certain that no refrigerators are left there unless the door has been <br />removed. <br />A Motion was made by Commissioner Loy, seconded by <br />Commissioner Massey and unanimously carried that the Administrator <br />contact the State Department of Transportation and protest the <br />installation of culverts at the cost of Indian River County. <br />NOV 10 1171 <br />
