SECTION 01611 STORAGE OF MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT 1.1 GENERAL A. Store and protect materials and equipment in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and requirements of Specifications. B. Make all arrangements and provisions necessary for the storage of materials and equipment. Place all excavated materials, construction equipment, and materials and equipment to be incorporated into the Work, so as not to injure any part of the Work or existing facilities, and so that free access can be had at all times to all parts of the Work and to all public utility installations in the vicinity of the Work. Keep materials and equipment neatly and compactly stored in locations that will cause a minimum of inconvenience to other contractors, public travel, adjoining owners, tenants and occupants. Arrange storage in a manner to provide easy access for inspection. C. Areas available on the construction site for storage of material and equipment shall be as shown or approved by the ENGINEER. D. Store materials and equipment which are to become the property of the OWNER to facilitate their inspection and insure preservation of the quality and fitness of the Work, including proper protection against damage by extreme temperatures and moisture. E. Do not use lawns, grass plots or other private property for storage purposes without written permission of the OWNER or other person in possession or control of such premises. F. CONTRACTOR shall be fully responsible for loss or damage to stored materials and equipment. G. Do not open manufacturers containers until time of installation unless recommended by the manufacturer or otherwise speced. H.
