shall be manufactured from woven polypropylene geotextile and sewn by a <br />double -needle machine, using a high strength nylon thread. The sack shall <br />be manufactured to fit the opening of the catch basin or drop inlet and it shall <br />have the following features: two dump straps attached at the bottom to <br />facilitate emptying; lifting loops as an integral part of the system to be used to <br />lift the sack from the basin; and a colored restraint chord approximately <br />halfwaY up the sack to keep the sides away from the catch basin walls. The <br />colored restraint chord shall also serve as a visual means of indicating when <br />the sack should be emptied. <br />2. Installation: Install in each catch basin in accordance with the manufacturer's <br />specifications. Use as many of the specified filtration devices as required, at <br />no additional cost to the OWNER. <br />3. Product: All materials shall be new and unused. <br />a. "SILTSACK" (regular flow), supplied by ACF Environmental, Inc. (1- <br />800-448-3636). <br />b. "FloGuard+PLUS," supplied by Kristar Enterprises, Inc. (1-800-579- <br />8819). <br />c. Or equivalent. <br />G. Construction Site Egress Driveways: Minimize the transport of sediment and soil <br />from the construction site or work area by vehicle wheels. Construct a crushed rock <br />driving surface at the vehicle exit point(s). Provide an area large enough to remove <br />the sediment and soil from vehicle wheels before the vehicle leaves the construction <br />site or work area. Provide wash -down stations as required to wash vehicle tires and <br />retain all washwater on-site. Do not use limerock. <br />H. Rock and Stone for Erosion Control and Pollution Control and Treatment: <br />1. Crushed Limerock: Crushed limerock shall not be used under any <br />U11 cumstance. <br />2. Acceptable Material: FDOT #4 non -calcareous aggregate (usually granite), <br />washed and meeting the requirements of FDOT Standard Specifications for <br />Road and Bridge Construction, Section 901. <br />Hay Bales: Hay bales shall not be used. <br />PART 3 -EXECUTION <br />A. Design, construct, and maintain the pollution control and treatment system to <br />minimize erosion and capture and remove pollutants from the construction site and <br />from all other areas disturbed by construction activities. <br />B.
