Payment shall be made under: <br />Bid Item No. 285-706 —Optional Base Group Cemented Coquina 6 (14") Two Lifts <br />Per Square Yard <br />SECTION — 334 -HOT MIX <br />334-1 Description. <br />T FOR LOCAL AGENCIES <br />334-1.1 General: Construct a Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) pavement based on the <br />type of work specified in the Contract and the Asphalt Work Categories as defined below. <br />Meet the applicable requirements for plants, equipment, and construction requirements as <br />defined below. Use a HMA mix that meets the requirements of this specification. <br />334-1.2 Asphalt Work Mix Categories: Construction of Hot Mix Asphalt <br />Pavement will fall into one of the following work categories: <br />334-1.2.1 Asphalt Work Category 1: Includes the construction of bike paths. <br />334-1.2.2 Asphalt Work Category 2: Includes the construction of new HMA <br />turn lanes, paved shoulders and other non -mainline pavement locations. <br />334-1.2.3 Asphalt Work Category 3: Includes the construction of new mainline <br />HMA pavement lanes, milling and resurfacing. <br />334-1.3 Mix Types: Construct a HMA pavement with the type of mixture <br />specified in the Contract.
