If the Work is defective , or CONTRACTOR fails to supply sufficient skilled <br /> workers or suitable materials or equipment , or fails to comply with permit <br /> requirements , or fails to comply with the technical specifications , or fails to <br /> perform the Work in such a way that the completed Work will conform to the <br /> Contract Documents , OWNER may order CONTRACTOR to stop the Work , or any <br /> portion thereof, until the cause for such order has been eliminated ; however, this <br /> right of OWNER to stop the Work shall not give rise to any duty on the part <br /> of <br /> OWNER to exercise this right for the benefit of CONTRACTOR , any <br /> Subcontractor, any Supplier, any other individual or entity , or any surety for, or <br /> employee or agent of any of them . <br /> 14 . 02 Progress Payments <br /> SC- 14 . 02 . 13 . 5 . Delete paragraph GG14. 02. B. 5. d in its entirety and insert the following paragraph <br /> in its place: <br /> d . ENGINEER has actual knowledge of the occurrence of any of the events <br /> enumerated in paragraph 15 . 02 . A ; or <br /> SC- 14 . 02 . 13 . 5 . Add the following sentences at the end of paragraph GC- 14. 02. 8. 5: <br /> e . OWNER has been required to pay ENGINEER additional compensation because <br /> of CONTRACTOR delays or rejection of defective Work ; or <br /> f. OWNER has been required to pay an independent testing laboratory for <br /> subsequent inspections , tests , or approvals taken after initial failing <br /> inspections , tests , or approvals . <br /> SC- 14 . 02 . C . 1 . Delete paragraph GC- 14. 02. C. 1 in its entirety and insert the following <br /> paragraph in its place : <br /> C . Payment Becomes Due <br /> 1 .
