SECTION 00800 - SUPPLEMENTARY CONDITIONS TO THE GENERAL CONDITIONS SC - 1 . 00 Introduction These Supplementary Conditions amend or supplement the Standard General Conditions of the Construction Contract ( No . 1910-8 , 1996 Edition ) and other provisions of the Contract Documents as indicated below . All provisions , which are not so amended or supplemented , remain in full force and effect . The terms used in these Supplementary Conditions will have the meanings indicated in the General Conditions . SC - 1 . 01 Defined Terms SC - 1 . 01 . A . 20 . Delete paragraph GC 1 . 01 . A . 20 in its entirety. SC - 1 . 02 Terminology SC - 1 . 02 . D . 11 2 , and 3 Delete paragraphs GC- 1 . 02. D. 1 , 2, and 3 in their entirety and insert the following paragraphs in their place : D . Furnish , Install, Perform, Provide 1 . The word "furnish" shall mean to supply and deliver services , materials , or equipment to the Site (or some other specified location ) ready for use or installation and in usable or operable condition . 2 . The word " install' shall mean to put into use or place in final position services , materials , or equipment complete and ready for intended use . 3 . The words " perform " or " provide " shall mean to furnish and install services , materials , or equipment complete and ready for intended use . SC -2 . 05 Before Starting Construction SC -2 . 05 . C . Delete paragraph GC 2. 05. 0 in its entirety and insert the following paragraph in its place : C . Evidence of Insurance: CONTRACTOR shall not commence work under this Contract until he has obtained all insurance required under Article 5 and such insurance has been delivered to the OWNER and approved by the OWNER , nor shall the CONTRACTOR allow any Subcontractor to commence work on his subcontract until all similar insurance required of the Subcontractor has been so obtained and approved . All such insurance shall remain in effect until final payment and at all times thereafter when CONTRACTOR may be correcting , removing or replacing defective Work in accordance with Article 13 . SC -2 . 06 Preconstruction Conference SC -2 . 06 Delete paragraph GC-2. 06. A in its entirety and insert the following paragraph in its place : A .
