CLARIFICATIONS / CORRECTIONS :
The following portions of the Contract Documents are modified as shown below :
A . To clarify statements shown in Addendum No . 1 , the last day that you may submit
questions or comments (and have them answered) is Friday, January 14 , 2011 .
B . Questions received and responses as follows :
QUESTION NO. 1s
Addenda No . 1 , page 6 of 7, Item 3 states the monitoring system and the remote
lighting control system have been eliminated and are not part of this project. With
that in mind , how is the owner planning on turning the lighting on and off? Please
provide specifics?
ANSWER,
Each ball field ( l and 2 ) will have a manual switch provided and should be in a
secure enclosure. These switches should be shown on the design to be provided by
the Contractor .
QUESTCON NO. 2 :
During the pre-bid meeting, it was stated by Mr. Kafer that lighting fixtures with
.integral ballast would be accepted . With that in mind please advise whether or not it
would be permissible to have the individual fusing for the fixtures at the top of the
pole in the ballast compartment or do they need to be placed in a separate
compartment lower on the light pole where they may be accessed utilizing a step
ladder?
ANSWER :
Designing the fusing for fixtures at the top of the pole in ballast compartment is not
considered to be easy access , and would not be allowed . A secure, separate
compartment on the light pole or within the light pole is acceptable . Ea;:,y access to
this compartment is required, either by utilizing a step ladder or ability to access
without using a step ladder.
I}I hlb& if"PrAtI ENGINRFsRING DIPISlOAFpROJF_CTSt IU2 YR40"V 1 149e CtgM/ngl.4dndmik'd dwwnwnrsiAddenAwnt4l3ldElVbUAt ArO 3 I_ll_
]l. dnr.
