ORDINANCE N0. 87-19 <br />county. Some soils are sandy throughout and others are underlain <br />by loamy material. Most of the soils in this area have a dark <br />sandy hardpan subsoil. Soils of the largest extent in this area <br />are Immokalee, Myakka, Satellite, Eau Gallie, Oldsmar, Wabasso, <br />and Riviera. <br />The soils of the sloughs consist of nearly level, poorly <br />drained and very poorly drained soils in broad, low flats and in <br />sloughs, depressions, and poorly defined drainageways mostly in <br />the central part and eastern one-third of the county. The area <br />extends from Brevard County to Saint Lucie County and also extends <br />east of the Atlantic Coastal Ridge and are adjacent to the tidal <br />marshes on the mainland. Another area of these soils is <br />immediately west of the Saint Johns Marsh and extends from Brevard <br />County to Okeechobee County. Most of these soils have a loamy <br />subsoil within a depth of forty inches. Some soils have a dark <br />sandy hardpan subsoil or are underlain by hard limestone. Soils <br />of the largest extent in this area are Riviera, Pineda, Wabasso, <br />Winder, Manatee, Boca, Myakka, Holopaw, and Pompano. <br />The soils of the freshwater swamps. and marshes consist of <br />nearly level, poorly drained to very poorly drained soils in areas <br />adjacent to or that drain into the western edge of the Saint Johns <br />Marsh in the western part of the county and extend from Brevard <br />County to Saint Lucie County. Some of these soils are organic <br />throughout and some have a thin to moderately thick organic layer <br />underlain by a sandy clay loam subsoil. Soils of the largest <br />extent in this area are Terra Ceia, Gator, Canova, Floridana, <br />Delray, and Holopaw. <br />CODING: Words in WUXfiE9hA type are deletions from existing law. <br />Words underlined are additions. <br />
