SECTION 6. <br />MECHANICAL CODE <br />Indian River County Ordinance No. 82-26 and Section 4-101 <br />of Indian River County Code of Laws and Ordinances is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br />The Standard Mechanical Code, 1985 Edition, as <br />printed by the Southern Building Code Congress, is <br />hereby adopted by reference as the mechanical code of <br />Indian River County, Florida, with such modifications <br />as hereinafter set forth. <br />SECTION 7. <br />HOUSING CODE <br />Indian River County Ordinance No. 82-26 and Section 4-106 <br />of Indian River County Code of Laws and Ordinances is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br />The Standard Housing Code, 1985 Edition, is hereby <br />adopted by reference as the housing code for Indian <br />River County, Florida, with such modifications as <br />may be set forth by the Board of County <br />Commissioners by ordinance. <br />SECTION 8. <br />LEGISLATIVE INTENT <br />The Standard Codes, as adopted herein, state the minimum <br />standards applicable to construction in Indian River County and <br />shall remain in full force and effect, subject to such <br />modifications as. may be set forth by ordinance of the Board of <br />County Commissioners of Indian River County or act of the Florida <br />Legislature. <br />
