9. During the term of the contract between said <br />Board and said Society, and any.renewal thereof, the said <br />Society, its agents and employees, are hereby vested with <br />all of the powers and authorities granted to said Board, <br />to receive, catch, pick up, impound and otherwise deal with <br />animals, to engage the services of licensed veterinarians <br />and to humanely destroy or otherwise dispose of animals <br />not redeemed in accordance with law and this Resolution. <br />Although the relationship of said Society to said Board <br />shall be that of independent contractor, rather than that <br />of agent or employee, and the agents and employees of <br />said Society do not occupy the status of agent or employee <br />of said County, the said Society, its agents and employees <br />shall enjoy with respect to third persons the privileges <br />and immunities of agents or employees of said Board while <br />performing the duties imposed upon them by said contract <br />and this Resolution. <br />10. This.Resolution shall apply throughout the <br />territory of Indian River -County outside any municipality. <br />_40_ <br />�� 1595 <br />
